Long Term Ventilation in children with complexity

We are pleased to present a study afternoon on Tuesday 4 June focusing on Long Term Ventilation, facilitated by the children's long-term ventilation (LTV) service at the Royal Brompton Hospital
The afternoon will cover:
- Introduction to LTV, indications, pathophysiology of sleep disordered breathing in patients with medical complexity
- Establishment and follow up (including role of sleep studies)
- Transition to home, safety netting, escalation plans
- Ethics
Speakers:
- Dr Hui-Leng Tan, consultant in paediatric respiratory and sleep medicine
- Dr June Chan, paediatric sleep and ventilation consultant
- Alex Thomas, chief sleep physiologist
- Julia Hodges and Anna Williams, clinical nurse specialists for children with complex needs
- Ruth Wakeman and Rhian Perry, specialist respiratory physiotherapists for children with complex needs
